The Contract Specialist II, reporting to the Network Operations/ Contracting Manager, plays a critical role in managing contracts within the PHSO. This position demands a strong grasp of healthcare regulations and contract law to develop, negotiate, and oversee a variety of agreements, including service, provider, and vendor contracts. Key responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contract language and rates, ensuring all documentation is accessible to DHMSO staff electronically and in hardcopy. The Specialist will be crucial in ensuring all contracts comply with relevant laws and organizational policies, collaborating closely with legal, finance, and compliance teams to mitigate risks and secure favorable terms. The role also involves monitoring contract performance, compliance, and renewal dates, as well as maintaining a comprehensive contract management system for accurate record-keeping.
