Talascend is currently seeking a hybrid Avionics Software Engineer for a contract opportunity with our client in Phoenix, Arizona.

Shift:
Hybrid role
8:00 am to 4:30 pm with 30 minute lunch break

Overview
Responsible for development, systems integration, and verification of core aircraft state and/or aircraft systems monitoring and synoptics applications to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.

Qualifications

• Engineering or Computer Science degree.
• C++ experience.
• Avionics or equivalent experience.
• Jira experience.
• Bitbucket experience .
• Systems/software requirements development, Validation, Integration or Verification.
• Model based system design (using Simulink, preferred).
• Arinc 661 graphics development (using Scade, preferred).
• Experience working with sensors used for aircraft position, Navigation (Air Data, AHRS, GPS).
• Experience integrating or interfacing with aircraft systems (flaps, gear, cabin pressure, FADEC).
