What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

• Review, docket, and distribute a high volume of incoming correspondence from the USPTO, WIPO, and foreign associates
• Update docket based on USPTO filing receipts, WIPO confirmations, and correspondence from foreign associates
• Monitor daily docket to ensure all deadlines are met and perform monthly status checks of pending US patent applications
• Manage incoming and outgoing transferred files and respond to internal inquiries
• Save correspondence in the document management system to maintain electronic files

What is Required (Qualifications):

• Minimum of 6+ years of intellectual property experience in a law firm or legal services environment
• Prior IP docketing experience required; prior patent docketing experience preferred
• Working knowledge of US and International patent and trademark prosecution processes
• Strong analytical reasoning skills and excellent organizational abilities
• Proficient with MS Office applications and detail-oriented

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

• Prior IP docketing experience using computer database programs, specifically FIP
• Undergraduate degree preferred
