Job Summary: Maintains a positive environment through safe and efficient supervision of students at school sites and crosswalks.

Salary: Range 1: $16.74 - $17.40 / Hour

Hours: 3.75 Hours/Day - School Year Only

Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience and desire to work with children; ability to command respect using positive leadership skills.
• Ability to exercise good judgment and possess integrity; and be neat, in attendance, and punctual.
• Work effectively and cooperatively with teachers, students, staff, and administrators.
• Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written forms.
• Ability to carry out oral and written directions.

Essential Functions:

• Supervises students in the cafeteria, on the playground, at bus stops, in halls, corridors, and lavatories.
• Performs crossing guard duty before and after school.
• Assists in the general welfare and safety of students; reports accidents and hazardous conditions immediately.
• Encourages and enforces good bus/playground/cafeteria standards.
• Consistently encourages and enforces the following of correct rules, and organizes games to help establish habits of fair play in order to enjoy wholesome recreational activities.
• Places signs at entry/exit points in parking lots to inform motorists of drop off zones, parking zones, etc.
• Sets up and puts away recess equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee.
