Red Restaurant Supervisor

Description:

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the RED Staff. The main concern is to ensure that guests are consistently serviced in a courteous, efficient and unobtrusive manner. The Supervisor will have full responsibility in the absence of management. This position pays $25.00 per hour.

Red is a full service, three(3) meal upscale restaurant and the primary location on property for food & beverage. This role is vital to the success of this great restaurant.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure optimal performance in the day-to-day operation
  • Assist in training of the staff to the Pacific Palms Resort standards
  • Assist in interviewing, recruiting, training, and motivating employees
  • Ensures the preparation and service of a consistent product
  • Ensures that all employees adhere to proper control procedures and comply with all liquor laws
  • Assign service personnel duties
  • Ensures cost of product is as low as possible without sacrificing quality
  • Establish and maintain cohesive and effective employee relations
  • Assist in inspecting, daily set-up, presentation and delivery of amenities
  • Handle the execution of hospitality
  • Assist in set up of par stocks, ordering, stocking and inventory
  • Maintain guest contact, checks on every table, uses the guest name when possible
  • Conduct administrative work requirements
  • Conducts monthly employee meetings, daily line-ups and any other meetings as necessary
  • Performs related duties and special projects
  • Understands and is the property expert on Outlet Simphony POS system
  • Knowledge of Open Table Reservations System.
  • Any reasonable request of management
  • Assist in any other Outlet as needed or requested by management
  • Be happy and make eye contact with all of our guests
  • Offer the "best" items not the most "expensive" items.
  • There should be "nothing more nothing less" on our tables at ALL times
  • Re-fold or replace the napkin when the guests leaves his or her seat
  • Open table is our best friend. Record guests notes EVERY SHIFT
  • Read the table and give them what they want with finesse and style
  • IF the phone is ringing, you need to answer it
  • Promote our Chef, GM, our special events, our hotel and other outlets
  • Walk our guests to the bathroom, never "point"
  • Always step aside when the guest is approaching, smile and let them pass
  • Excellent customer service practices
  • Adherence to departmental and property standards and procedures
  • Teamwork: Works efficiently and effectively as member of a team; communicates and cooperates with property staff
REQUIREMENTS
  • At least 2-years of supervisory experience in a full service restaurant
  • Previous customer service experience required
  • Professional appearance & attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Able to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
  • RBS Alcohol Certification. ServSafe California Food Handler Certification required
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Basic mathematical skills
  • Have good knowledge of computer systems
