Customer Service Specialist

Schedule + Work Hours: 12:00 PM 9:00 PM CST + Training Schedule: 7:30 AM 4:00 PM CST

About the Role

As a Customer Service Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting patients by managing the front-end process for equipment orders and insurance verification. This is a fast-paced role involving inbound and outbound calls, documentation, and coordination with multiple systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answer inbound calls and make outbound calls to assist patients
  • Obtain, analyze, and verify referral information
  • Create orders and schedule equipment delivery
  • Educate patients on financial responsibility when applicable
  • Complete insurance verification and obtain pre-authorizations
  • Navigate multiple EMR systems to enter and review documentation
  • Communicate trends and issues with insurance carriers to management
  • Contact patients when documentation does not meet payer guidelines
Qualifications
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to navigate multiple systems efficiently
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous customer service experience preferred

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
