About Reserv

Reserv is an insurtech creating and incubating cutting-edge AI and automation technology to bring efficiency and simplicity to claims. Founded by insurtech veterans with deep experience in SaaS and digital claims, Reserv is venture-backed by Bain Capital and Altai Ventures and began operations in May 2022. We are focused on automating highly manual tasks to tackle long-standing problems in claims and set a new standard for TPAs, insurance technology providers, and adjusters alike.

We have ambitious goals and need team members who can thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment. If building a leading TPA and tackling long-standing challenges in the claims space excites you, we'd love to meet you.

About the role

As a Senior Analyst within the Financial Operations team, your primary focus will be working with our transportation customers leading monthly reconciliations and critical financial tasks. You will collaborate cross-functionally internally to reconcile financial data and implement solutions that improve service delivery for our clients. Your contributions will directly impact Reserv's ability to provide seamless, tech-driven claims management and reconciliation, ensuring that we continue to set new standards in the industry. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are passionate about using technology to transform traditional insurance operations.
Who you are

  • A critical thinker with a strong aptitude for problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Someone who geeks out on numbers and loves working through discrepancies.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • A strong communicator, capable of presenting insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • A proactive and adaptable self-starter who excels in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving and sometimes ambiguous environment.
  • Collaborative and comfortable working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Experienced working with tools such as Microsoft 365 Suite, Tableau or Looker (SQL), and other financial reporting and communication applications.
What we need

We need you to do all the things typical of the role:
  • Lead the reconciliation of loss fund payments for the transportation line of business, ensuring alignment between claims data, financial records, and bank statements.
  • Investigate and resolve any financial discrepancies with internal teams, claimants, and customers.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and automation within Financial Operations.
  • Document, validate, and enhance procedures related to large carrier accounts and high-severity or high-frequency funds.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to strengthen financial controls, reporting consistency, and overall operational performance.
  • Support a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement within the Finance team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in finance, or an analytical role, preferably with a TPA or an insurance company.
  • Strong proficiency in data tools such as Excel or similar platforms, including the ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed reconciliations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex insights clearly.
  • Familiarity with claims workflows, loss fund administration, or transportation insurance programs is a plus.
  • Experience with reporting or business intelligence tools, beneficial but not required.
Benefits
  • Generous health-insurance package with nationwide coverage, vision, & dental
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
  • Competitive PTO policy - we want our employees fresh, healthy, happy, and energized!
  • Generous family leave policy after 8 months of continuous work
  • Work from anywhere to facilitate your work life balance
  • Apple laptop, large second monitor, and other quality-of-life equipment you may want. Technology is something that should make your life easier, not harder!

At Reserv, we value diversity in backgrounds, perspectives, and life experiences and believe that diversity in viewpoints and critical thinking drives innovation, first-principles thinking, and success. We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and encourage those from all walks of life to apply. If you believe you are a good fit for this role, we would love to hear from you!
