Senior Director / VP of ERP Systems (Epicor)
Enterprise ERP Transformation | Remote with Travel | Contract Engagement
This is a rare opportunity to own and lead a large-scale Epicor transformation for a multi-site manufacturing organization undergoing a critical ERP modernization. Our client is consolidating multiple Epicor environments (E9, E10.x, and Kinetic) into a unified Kinetic platform and is seeking a seasoned Epicor executive to provide strategic direction, hands-on leadership, and governance to ensure a successful enterprise-wide upgrade.
If you are an Epicor SME who has led complex ERP initiatives and can operate comfortably at both the executive strategy and hands-on oversight levels, this role offers immediate impact and visibility.What You'll Be Responsible For
ERP Strategy & Executive Leadership
- Define and execute the Epicor ERP roadmap aligned with business strategy and operational goals
- Serve as executive owner of the Epicor platform, including Kinetic modernization and upgrade strategy
- Partner with senior leadership to drive ERP-enabled business transformation
- Establish ERP governance, standards, and best practices across the enterprise
- Lead enterprise-scale Epicor implementations, upgrades, and multi-site rollouts
- Oversee ERP budgets, timelines, risks, vendor performance, and ROI
- Ensure disciplined project, change, and communication management at the executive level
- Manage Epicor vendors, system integrators, and third-party partners
- Build, mentor, and guide ERP leaders, analysts, and delivery teams
- Drive collaboration across Manufacturing, Finance, Supply Chain, Sales, and IT
- Champion process standardization, data integrity, and KPI-driven decision-making
- Ensure ERP security, compliance, and internal controls
- Oversee integrations with enterprise platforms (MES, BI, CRM, EDI, PLM)
- Guide disaster recovery, system performance, and scalability planning
- Evaluate Epicor innovations and emerging technologies to continuously improve ERP capabilities
- Deep hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (E9 through Kinetic)
- 10+ years of progressive ERP leadership experience, including enterprise ownership
- Proven success leading large-scale Epicor implementations and upgrades
- Strong understanding of manufacturing or distribution operations and financial systems
- Demonstrated ability to manage executive stakeholders, vendors, and large budgets
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or related field
(Master's degree preferred)
- Epicor certifications or deep Epicor Kinetic expertise
- Experience in multi-site or global manufacturing environments
- CIO, VP of IT, or Director-level ERP leadership background
- Spanish language skills
- Experience driving ERP governance and digital transformation initiatives
- Executive-level ownership of a high-visibility ERP modernization program
- Direct impact on enterprise operations and future-state technology strategy
- Remote flexibility with travel tied to major program milestones
- Competitive 1099 contract rate ($75-$100/hour)
