Field Service Technician

Vantage Point is a Telecommunications Consulting and Engineering firm, seeking full-time Field Service Technicians.

PLEASE NOTE: Position requires a high degree of travel. We invite experienced technicians aswell as trainees to apply.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Installation and termination of low voltage cabling
• Residential and Commercial network electronics wiring and troubleshooting
• Material management
• Travel
• Good communication skills to discern customer/client needs
• Verify installed service by testing of equipment and cabling
• Perform troubleshooting & strive to resolve issues
• Conduct customer contacts completing site surveys
• Willingness to learn and perform various duties with Outside Plant
• This position requires outdoor fieldwork in a variety of environments and weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain, snow). Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors year-round and ensure safety practices are followed at all times.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Valid Driver's License
• Ability to work under minimal supervision
• Organizational skills
• Mechanical skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability and willingness to travel
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position
• Basic knowledge of telecommunications industry and/or home construction is a plus, but not required
• Understand and operate technology and applications such as Microsoft Office 360, Smartsheet, and various devise applications
