Job Title: Recreational Therapist - PBSP Job ID: 84013 Location: Wasco, California Overview: We are a North America-wide recruitment agency. Currently, we are recruiting Recreational Therapists for long-term contracts at correctional facilities in California. What you will be doing:

  • Promote social interaction.
  • Encourage positive and appropriate leisure activities.
  • Prepare individuals for reintegration into the general population or other levels of treatment.
  • Actively participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT).
  • Coordinate therapy services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors, and others.
What you must have:
  • At least 1 year of experience within the last three (3) years
  • Driver's License or Passport Identification
  • Graduation from an accredited college with a major in therapeutic recreation or recreation with an emphasis on therapeutic recreation.
  • BLS (American Heart Association only)
  • Education must include supervised fieldwork approved by the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC).
Salary/Rate Range: $67.00 -$70.00/hr Other Information: Benefits
  • Full-Time schedules available
  • 10 hour shifts, No weekend work!
  • Contracts extend for 6 to 12 months with the option for renewal
