About the Role

As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in optimizing manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Your technical expertise will directly impact production quality, cost-effectiveness, and operational safety. Key Responsibilities

Required:

• Analyze current manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
• Implement process improvements to increase throughput, reduce waste, and lower costs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and troubleshoot process deviations.
• Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality assurance teams to ensure consistent product quality.
• Lead and support capital and process improvement projects from conception through implementation.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Utilize data analysis tools to assess process performance and generate reports for management.
• Provide technical support, develop SOPs, and train operations staff.

• Stay current on modern technologies and industry best practices.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Pulp & Paper Science, Process Engineering, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the pulp and paper industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Experience in recycled paper or OCC processes.
• Exposure to continuous improvement frameworks such as Lean or Six Sigma.

• Manufacturing setting with exposure to noise, temperature variations, dust, and chemicals.
• Must be able to walk, stand, and climb ladders/stairs.
• Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Base Salary: $80,000-$90,000 annually.
