Certain spaces simply work. You naturally want to understand what makes them succeed. If you're a designer who grasps both fine detail and overarching systems, who excels in physical environments rather than just concept boards, and who knows that beautiful, functional design can be systematically replicated, this role will put your judgment intopractice.
We are constructing a nationwide system of 2 Hour Learning campuses. These are locations where students complete an entire academic day in two hours of concentrated learning, then use the remaining time pursuing interests, developing practical skills, and staying physically active. Your responsibility is to make these environments exceptional. As the execution lead for interior environments throughout our network, you'll establish modular frameworks for layout, FF&E, play areas, and navigation systems. You'll guarantee they're delivered with accuracy at each location. You'll visit campuses in person, identify issues others overlook, define improvement scopes, and shepherd them from budgeting through installation.
This design role is distinct from conventional positions because it isn't separated from implementation. You won't deliver plans and step back. You'll be present, resolving installation challenges, guiding vendors, and gathering insights that refine future deployments. If you're prepared to transform your design expertise into nationwide influence, this is your opportunity.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop modular, scalable design frameworks for layout, FF&E, materials, and play environments that adapt across varied campus settings
  • Perform on-site evaluations using standardized assessment tools to measure alignment with brand standards and identify meaningful enhancements
  • Produce detailed, visual, financially scoped proposals for facility improvements that align with educational approach, brand identity, and family expectations
  • Supervise vendor implementation on location, maintaining adherence to standards, budgets, and schedules through continuous quality oversight
  • Complete the feedback cycle after installation by recording successes and failures, then revising operational guides to reflect learnings

What You Wont Be Doing
  • Crafting custom, singular environments that cannot be systematically replicated across multiple sites.
  • Delivering specifications and disengaging afterward. You maintain ownership from assessment through completion.
  • Waiting for complete information before acting. This position values proactive decision-making, rapid prototyping, and sound judgment under uncertainty.
  • Generating open-ended design without constraints. Your work must remain tightly aligned with brand identity and operational realities.
  • Operating remotely from an office. You will spend 50-75% of your time traveling to physical locations.

Vice President Campus Design Key Responsibilities

Guarantee that every campus provides a high-quality, brand-consistent, and pedagogically effective physical environment by developing and implementing scalable design systems that maintain excellence across all locations.

  • Hands?on management of vendor execution, including oversight of installation quality and schedule adherence

  • Located in the U.S. and authorized to work without requiring visa sponsorship
