Vascular Surgery Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Position Overview: SAMGI is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Vascular Surgery team at Kern Medical, a Level II trauma center in Bakersfield, CA. This full-time position involves working closely with our team of surgeons to manage inpatient care, assist in the operating room, and provide follow-up care in our on-site clinic.

Work Schedule:

Overview: Join SAMGI's Vascular team at Kern Medical, a Level II trauma center and teaching hospital known for its high level of acuity. We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team and contribute to the management of vascular patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work 10-hour shifts (7am-5pm) on weekdays only.
  • Practice within a fully-equipped outpatient vascular clinic.
  • Assist in both inpatient endovascular/open surgery and outpatient surgery center cases.
  • Manage a variety of vascular conditions, including peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins, dialysis access, and carotid disease.
  • Conduct elective and post-op vascular clinics.
  • Perform inpatient rounds and consults.
  • Assist in the operating room.
Requirements
  • 1 to 2 years of experience working as a PA-C or NP in Vascular Surgery
  • Ability to build rapport with patients and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
