We're hiring a Relationship Manager, and we're open to candidates at Level I, II, or III. We have one opening and are looking for the right fit based on your skills, experience, and potential impact.

Our Downtown Bakersfield Business Banking Center is seeking a Relationship Manager to join the team! The Relationship Manager makes and services all types of business loans and lines of credit, both secured and unsecured. The position calls on potential or existing customers to develop new business and increase or retain existing business relationships and keeps informed as to the status of loans in their portfolio. The position provides financial counsel to current and prospective customers and handles all but more complex types of loans.

Essential Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

1. Meet and exceed your monthly performance-based goals.
2. Develop and implement a sales plan to attract new business to Mission Bank while maintaining and deepening existing relationships.
3. Responsible for acquiring and servicing business relationships, in accordance with set goals including multiple business and individual deposit accounts, Treasury Management services, all loans and lines of credit, merchant accounts and all product lines available.
4. Proactively looks to expand client base by cultivating referral relationships, participating in networking functions, soliciting/telemarketing target market clients/prospects and building a book of business in the local community.
5. Reviews, processes and prepares documentation for new accounts and loans to ensure compliance to legal and bank requirements.
6. Perform more complex banking transactions; conform to legal and bank requirements; cross sell bank products and services; execute client transactions in a timely and efficient manner.
7. Mentor lower-level Relationship Managers and leverage your knowledge to aid in their advancement by proactively coaching and training areas of weakness.
8. Enhance the loyalty and profitability of existing relationships, growing new profitable relationships, and referring opportunities to other parts of the company.
9. Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. Additional duties may be required as needed.
11. Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP.

Additional Responsibilities per Level:

While specific portfolio sizes may vary, Relationship Managers typically handle the following ranges:

• Relationship Manager I: Generally, manages approximately a $50MM portfolio.
• Relationship Manager II: Typically oversees a mid-sized portfolio.
• Relationship Manager III: Usually responsible for larger, more complex portfolios, often up to a $150MM portfolio.

Experience and Skills
Requirements:

• Generally, has 3 to 5 years' experience in banking/lending.
• Possess strong lending and accounting skills.
• Possess strong sales/relationship building skills.
• Project a businesslike professionalism to the client in both appearance and manner.
• Possess a strong customer service orientation, and a willingness to place the customer first.
• Possess strong written/verbal communication skills as well as excellent organizational/time management skills.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
• Current driver's license and a vehicle with appropriate insurance coverage if required to drive in the course of performing assigned duties and responsibilities.

Preferred Qualifications for Level II and III:

• 5 + years of experience generating new banking relationships for a bank.
• 5+ years of experience managing a larger more complex loan portfolio.

Compensation:

Target Salary for Level I: $139,516 per year, depending on experience.

Target Salary for Level II: $160,443 per year, depending on experience.

Target Salary for Level III: $184,510 per year, depending on experience.
