- Crushers, material handling equipment, and process machinery
- Piping systems, supports, and mechanical interfaces
- Develop construction-ready engineering deliverables, including:
- Equipment layouts and mechanical drawings
- Design calculations and specifications
- Tie-in details and modification packages for operating plants
- Support execution-focused engineering by:
- Incorporating constructability, access, and maintenance considerations
- Supporting field implementation, troubleshooting, and design clarifications
- Participating in design reviews with Engineering and site teams
- Apply applicable codes, standards, and best practices, including:
- ASME, API, and applicable boiler and pressure system requirements
- Client-specific and site-specific engineering standards
- Interface with:
- Engineering project teams
- Owner/operator engineering, reliability, and maintenance groups

- 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in mining or heavy industrial environments
- Hands-on experience with:
- Rotating equipment (pumps, compressors, fans, etc.)
- Thermal and process equipment (boilers, steam drums, dryers)
- Large mechanical equipment common in mining operations
- Strong understanding of:
- Brownfield facilities and operating-plant constraints
- Engineering deliverables that must be built and maintained in the field
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across disciplines
- Willingness to travel periodically to mine sites
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience supporting:
- Mining operations (trona, coal, metals, aggregates, or processing facilities)
- EPC, owner-side, or specialty engineering organizations
- Familiarity with:
- Reliability and maintainability-driven design
