Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Technician - 2nd Shift

Pay: $26.00/hour
Shift: 8:00 PM - 4:00 AM
Location: Multiple facilities within Bakersfield area

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated EHS Technician to join our team and help maintain a safe and compliant work environment. This position plays a key role in supporting safety programs, conducting inspections, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards across multiple locations.

What You'll Do

Monitor and maintain safety programs at various facilities.
Conduct EHS meetings and employee safety trainings.
Perform onsite inspections, audits, and assessments.
Investigate incidents and prepare detailed reports.
Ensure compliance with all EHS regulatory standards.
Collaborate with operations and other departments.
Additional duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, Agricultural Safety, NSC Safety, Forklift Train-the-Trainer, First Aid/CPR.
Strong knowledge of EHS regulatory standards.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
Bilingual (English & Spanish) required.
Valid driver's license with a clean DMV record (travel required).
Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Must pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, physical, and background check.

Physical Requirements

Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
Move throughout office and food processing facilities.
Work in varying temperatures (-20°F to 110°F), high noise areas, and wet/damp environments.
Lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
