Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic - Daytime shift needed ASAP Temp to hire Location: Buttonwillow, CA (Food Manufacturing) Compensation: $24$27 per hour, depending on experience Schedule: Full-time, Onsite, Direct Hire Hire Up Staffing is partnering with a leading food manufacturing company near Bakersfield, CA, to find an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their growing team. This position plays a key role in keeping production equipment operating safely and efficiently through preventative maintenance, repairs, and process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment to minimize downtime.
• Utilize predictive maintenance tools such as thermal imaging, vibration analysis, and ultrasonics to identify potential issues.
• Fabricate and repair parts using welding, cutting, and other shop equipment.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety policies and regulations, including LOTO, fall protection, and hot work procedures.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve equipment issues and improve reliability.
• Document maintenance activities, update work orders, and maintain accurate equipment records.
• Provide training and guidance to operators and other maintenance personnel as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree or certification preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a production or manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and work independently or as part of a team.
