Primary Responsibilities
* Operate chopper gun in a manner consistent with Safe Work Practices.
* Operate material handling equipment in a safe manner.
* Participate in the maintaining of a healthy Safety Culture at the facility.
* Follow instructions from operators and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and safely.
* Maintain accurate labeling, layout, and marking of parts and completed products and subcomponents.
* Ensure safety, cleanliness, and equipment maintenance within the plant.
* Promote a culture of quality, safety, and teamwork on the production floor.
Job Duties
* Fabricate FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) pipe, polygons, and other accessories in accordance with quality standards.
* Operate a variety of tools and material handling equipment including grinders, utility knives, rotating molds, and forklifts.
* Perform grinding, smoothing, patching, and installation tasks for seams, nozzles, manways, and other components.
* Support layout and fitting of shells and parts per drawings and specifications.
* Conduct measurements, visual inspections, and quality checks; report issues to appropriate personnel.
* Control inventory and storage of fiberglass materials, rolls, and sheets.
* Assist with part and product preparation for shipment.
* Perform minor tool and equipment maintenance, cleaning tools and rollers regularly.
* Apply product markings, stencils, and labels according to specifications.
* Work in varying environmental conditions, including high noise and temperature extremes.
* Lift/move materials and components as required (up to 50 lbs).
* Wear a respirator for extended periods (8+ hours) as required by tasks.
Pay Range:
* $23.48 - 28.31 per hour
