Position Summary Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Picker Packer is responsible for accurately selecting, packing, labeling, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role supports warehouse operations by ensuring all products are handled safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and food safety standards. The Picker Packer uses basic tools such as box cutters, tape dispensers, and scan guns while maintaining a strong focus on accuracy, productivity, and workplace safety. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and motivated to meet warehouse productivity and accuracy goals. They excel in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and consistently follow safety and food-handling standards. They demonstrate a strong work ethic, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting team success.
Position Responsibilities - Pick products from bulk inventory and segregate them onto pallets according to customer orders.
- Verify that boxed product matches order specifications with a high level of accuracy.
- Conduct basic visual quality inspections and identify defective or questionable product.
- Promptly report any quality or product concerns to the department supervisor.
- Place completed boxes on pallets, ensuring proper stacking and visible label placement.
- Pack, tape, and label boxes safely and efficiently using required hand tools.
- Maintain cleanliness of the warehouse using brooms, mops, dusters, and other equipment as needed.
- Comply with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental regulations.
- Follow all company GMPs, safety guidelines, and SOPs.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
Position Requirements - High school diploma or state-issued equivalency certificate.
- Ability to work any shift, including overtime and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and self-motivation.
- Basic knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and food safety principles.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
- Ability to consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to stand and/or walk up to 90% of the workday.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work well with others and support team goals.
The pay for this role in the state of
CA is
$17-$19/hr and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
