Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Nursing Practice Specialist for Med/Surg Telemetry Departments will have accountabilities for planning , staff development, orientation, patient/family education, quality management and research, consultation, communication, professional relationships, and professional development as appropriate.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required.
• Advanced Practice Skills in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
• 2 to 3 years experience required in Med/Surg and Telemetry.
• BASIC LIFE SUPPORT-AHA (CT CPRBLS);REGISTERED NURSE (RN);ACLS (CT ACLS)
• Working knowledge of several software systems.
• Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret hospital policies and procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

• Masters of Science preferred or required within 2 years of hire.
• Experience with Cardiac and Neuro Services preferred.
• 4+ years preferred.
