Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an experienced Estimator - Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) to join our dynamic team. This position plays a critical role in the planning and execution of EPC projects by providing accurate and timely cost estimates for all phases of the project lifecycle. The Estimator will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that cost-effective solutions are delivered while maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The role is integral to the successful delivery of projects, impacting both operational efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation:
Develop accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for EPC projects, covering materials, labor, equipment, and overheads. Utilize industry best practices and historical data to ensure precision and reliability.
Collaborate with Project Teams:
Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to review project scopes, specifications, and drawings to prepare accurate bid proposals and estimates.
Risk Analysis:
Identify potential risks and incorporate contingency plans into cost estimates to address uncertainties in scope, timeline, and project execution.
Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:
Engage with vendors and subcontractors to gather cost information, review quotes, and assess supplier performance in alignment with project specifications.
Prepare Bid Packages:
Prepare and present bid packages, including detailed breakdowns of labor, material, and equipment costs, to senior management for review and approval.
Maintain Cost Databases:
Ensure that cost data, including historical cost records and benchmarking information, is regularly updated and maintained for future project reference.
Assist in Contract Negotiations:
Support the project management team during contract negotiations by providing accurate cost-related information and assisting with the evaluation of bid proposals.
