About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Institutional Advancement Officer (CIAO) to lead its Institutional Advancement team. The CIAO will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive fundraising strategy that includes diverse revenue streams such as annual giving, capital campaigns, corporate partnerships, and major gifts programs. This role requires the ability to work closely with the executive team, particularly the CEO, and the Board, to engage in board development and lay out programs for board member involvement in fundraising. The successful candidate will also be tasked with budget management, overseeing data and research analytics, and ensuring the consistent achievement of annual revenue goals. Candidates for the CIAO position at the company should have a high level of professionalism, outstanding presentation skills, and a dedication to the mission of the organization. The role demands a leader with a genuine interest in the rights of the communities served, particularly immigrant and farm worker rights. Essential qualifications include the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a proven track record in fundraising and grant writing. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and at least 7 years' of related experience, with a preference for those holding advanced degrees and with a background in institutional advancement. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
