This position will also provide systems-related training and mentorship for Ambulatory Services staff, starting from the new hire stage and continuing throughout their employment history.Essential Functions:Analyze and make effective recommendations for all system builds that optimize technology and processes in Ambulatory Services systems.Responsible for system testing, updates, and service requests, working with IT personnel to maintain and enhance Ambulatory Service systems.Analyze and interpret data to make necessary improvements in all systems in the Ambulatory Services units, including change control approvals.Serve as the project manager for all new Ambulatory Services system implementations, ensuring project tasks are met on time and within budget.Provide training and mentorship for all staff in Ambulatory Services departments, maintaining and updating user guides and training materials.Work in conjunction with the Information Technology department to ensure all Ambulatory Services systems are functional and performing appropriately.Attend in-services and training programs as required for the job.Minimum Requirements:High School graduate or GED equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred, but a combination of work experience and college education is acceptable.At least five years of experience working in the information technology, healthcare industry, specifically in referral management, scheduling, and reimbursement.Strong project management and analytical skills, with the ability to communicate technical issues to a non-technical audience.Strong Excel skills, knowledge of data extraction, and database management.Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal, and all commercial insurances, as well as HIPAA privacy and security regulations.Ability to:Be self-directed and demonstrate a positive attitude.Develop and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, and representatives of other groups and organizations.Gather and analyze information, communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, and prepare and maintain clear and concise records and reports.Supplemental:A background check may be required for this classification.
