Job Summary:
Under limited supervision, the Manufacturing and Production Scheduler performs planning and scheduling functions involved with coordinating products and materials through various production phases. They implement planned production schedules, labor loading and capacity requirements. Review schedules to determine materials and parts requirements to ensure materials are available according to schedules.
Job Description:
Create, monitor, collect and update progress on schedule for all equipment resources.
Main point of contact for site supply planning to support demand.
Create and maintain Bill Of Materials (BOM, NuSil Runsheets).
Master data creation and maintenance.
Coordinate with procurement, manufacturing and QA to resolve material issues.
Collaborate with MFG and materials management to ensure timely release of production orders and transfer requirements.
Manage scheduling for inter-site transfers (if applicable).
Establish demand planning time fences as well as policies for time fence management.
Collaborate with purchasing to expedite components.
Knowledge of performing cumulative lead time analysis.
Effectively communicate the operational perspective in cross-functional meetings.
Leads/Participates/Supports OPX programs and Manufacturing/Supply Chain Initiatives and related Goals.
Customers: Quality/Service/Supply
Research order and delivery discrepancies. Resolve MRP related issues.
Work closely with Customer Care regarding daily scheduling issues.
Monitors adherence to schedule; oversight of root cause directives to improve schedule adherence.
Create/Track supply chain metrics for site using listed metrics to ensure commitments are met. Communicate results to key stakeholders.
Identifies/Leads process improvement opportunities, implementing best practices to achieve excellence in metrics specific to customers.
Escalate potential shortages before they affect production.
Growth & Technology: Commercialization, Process & Operational Technology
Support commercialization efforts in Area as it relates to planning and scheduling.
Affordability: Operations & Financials; Capital & People Productivity, Information Accessibility & Utilization
Identifies/Leads process improvement opportunities and implements lean best practices to achieve excellence in metrics specific to productivity and affordability.
Provide summary of asset loading (capacity leveling) to manufacturing.
Understanding business impact; putting enterprise first, business units second and team third in this order.
Plan, order and keep track of raw material, Work In Process (WIP) and finished goods inventories.
Implement/Update policies and guidelines for supply chain activities.
Understand and apply different manufacturing environments (MTS, MTO, ATO).

Follow all applicable laws and regulations, acting as steward for the Company, Employees, Community and Environment.

Education and/or Experience:
One year MRP program certificate from a college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, manufacturing procedures. Ability to present scheduling information and respond to manufacturing questions from employees. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write manufacturing status reports and correspond with sales staff as needed. Responds to all e-mail correspondence in Microsoft Outlook promptly. Manages MRP e-mail box correspondence. Direct all correspondence to the appropriate scheduler or party. Directs PVR's to the correct recipient. Responds to all Sales and Upper Management product and process inquires.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, and percentages
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to follow manufacturing product trees, interpret a variety of technical instructions. Ability to manage multiple spreadsheets and programs to meet scheduling demands. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to adjust manufacturing plans as variables change quickly and efficiently.

Pay Transparency:
The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$42,000.00 - $70,000.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant factors such as prior experience and geographic location.
